Song Info

Below are descriptions of all songs listed in the archive... This is simply a "written" record of what was on my mind while writing and recording the tunes... I tend to ask myself that all the time...

Enjoy...

-------------Volume 01-------------

"1998-1999"

Time (4.6mb)

This song reflects my preferred playing style...A rocker with a groove...Heavy guitars in the background with a funky lead guitar... One of my favs even today...(Recorded February '98)

Grunged (2.7mb)

Reminded me of a movie soundtrack from day one...Heavy guitars and driving drums power this song...Could be used in such movies as The Crow, The Matrix, Dark City...etc...(Recorded April '00)

Theme 02 (2.9mb)

The latest of the "Themes"...This song was intended for a chase type scene in film or tv...But the end result reminds me of southern rock style even more...Grooving guitars and a solid bass line are the backbone of this one...(Recorded May '00)

Warning Signs (3.2mb)

This song has a rockin/country feel to it, with lots of guitars and a cool slide section...Could also be used in film or tv...This song is still one of my favs even today...Its just simply fun to listen to...(Recorded February '98)

New Song (3.5mb)

Ease back, relax, and enjoy the groove...The guitar riff sounds a lot like "Blue Oyster Cult"...but the finger picking part gives it a nice accent...This song falls into many genre styles...To this day, I still enjoy hearing it...(Recorded September '98)

Forever (2.9mb)

This was an attempt at a full blown country song... Although the final product seems to be more alternative country, this one has great guitar parts that compliment each other well...(Recorded February '98)

Terminator (3.4mb)

Back to the film music... This song was based on the movie "Terminator"...and was the sole inspiration for the song... Sets the mood for that type of movie perfectly...Addicting guitars with just enough "not the norm" to make it interesting...(Recorded March '98)

Theme 01 (3.1mb)

This is the first of many...I call them Themes...This piece is intended for film or tv...and actually was wrote after listening to the theme for "Melrose Place"...Great guitar harmonies and grooving bass lines are the foundation for this song... (Recorded March '99)

Ballad (4.4mb)

The name says it all on this one...Reminds me of an "Aerosmith" type tune...Falls into the rock ballad category...with a hint of alternative country...just to make it interesting...(Recorded June '98)

Lightning (3.7mb)

Very laid back southern rock song...could almost be in mood genre...This one has lots of acoustic guitars doing different parts, with a distorted lead guitar where the vocal would be...All the sounds came together well and was a blast to record...Wish they were all this fun...(Recorded February '98)

-------------Volume 02-------------

"2000-2001"

Paradise Lost (3.3mb)

This song can be interpreted in several ways...and could fit many different genre styles...The picking part in the upbeat section reminds me of a Dire Straits type groove, while the slower mood section truly gives the feel of a "paradise lost"... This song would make a great movie soundtrack...(Recorded November '00)

One Wish (3.5mb)

Not your typical mood music... This song is all acoustics with drums and bass... However, seems to fit this genre well... I really like this new style... and to date, this is one of my favorite songs...Look for more soon... (Recorded August '00)

Reflections (3.4mb)

This is another song based on a guitar part I've been playing forever...Grooving type drums and bass with tons of acoustic guitars...Falls into many genre styles...Sit back and reflect... (Recorded November 00)

That 60s Song (3.6mb)

This tune is kind of a 60s tribute... Intended for film or TV, the chord progressions and vintage type playing style make this truly a "blast from the past"... (Recorded January '01)

Open Your Heart (3.8mb)

This is a new version of a song I did a few years back...The acoustic guitar parts came together well I must say...Falls into many genre styles...from mood music to southern rock...This is another one of my favs... Hope you enjoy...(Recorded August '00)

Mourning After (2.8mb)

This song is simply an acoustic guitar...It originally had music with it but seemed to lose the effect...The final product has a lot of elements that make it a truly interesting piece...kinda classical, kinda Spanish, kinda 80's power ballad... all rolled into one... (Recorded June '00)

Promise Land (3.5mb)

This song was based on an attempt to make a guitar sound like orchestra strings...It worked pretty well I must say...Lots of people thought I actually used a keyboard for the effect...and it gives the song the "feel" I was looking for...Also falls into the mood/groove genre to me...(Recorded June '99)

Your Song (3.9mb)

Another acoustic piece...I had this guitar part in my head forever...decided to put it on disk...and after hearing it back, I simply added some echo and the song was done...This was basically a "hit record and play" type tune, so the final product isn't perfect... However, I believe the mood comes across well... Hope you enjoy...(Recorded August '00)

Tumbleweeds (3.3mb)

Typical OUToTUNE music...driving drums and bass with a funky guitar...This song could be a cool movie soundtrack...Reminds me of a desert scene...complete with ghost town and tumbleweeds...(Recorded October '00)

Paradise Revisited (2.6mb)

Another laid back instrumental... This is the final song on the Volume 2 CD... and was a blast to record... This tune basically wrote itself, and hopefully it shows... As with Paradise Lost, this song fits many genre styles... Hope you enjoy... (Recorded Apr '01)

-------------Volume 03-------------

"2002-2004"

Escape Velocity (3.8mb)

This the first song of the Volume 03 CD... After a much needed a break from "guitar" tunes, I turned my attention to the electronic genre... This is my first attempt at this type of music... Hope you enjoy...(Recorded October '01)

The Chase (3.8mb)

Cool guitar licks, funky bass, and an upbeat tempo make this a great piece for a chase type film scene... If you enjoyed "Time" then you should like this as well... (Recorded March '01)

Good Love (4.4mb)

This is a redo of the first song I ever recorded in a "real" studio... This song, as with several of my tunes, is all acoustic oriented... I really enjoy this music style, and hope it shows in the playing... Enjoy... (Recorded August '01)

Fusion (3.5mb)

This piece is my latest attempt to break the "genre barrier"... A "fusion" of styles if you will... Hope you enjoy... (Recorded November '01)

Compilation (5.6mb)

This is a compilation of some of my favorite tunes I've recorded over the years. Its intended as a "demo" of my overall sound... (Recorded   December '01)

Illusions (3.4mb)

The illusion is real... This piece starts with a calm and relaxing feel, but soon gives way to the guitar "wall of sound" for a finale... Gotta love it.... (Recorded October '02)

Just For Fun (2.5mb)

Just as the name says... Its just for fun... Nothing serious here... Another rocker with a groove... (Recorded January '03)

Untitled (3.3mb)

Intended for film and TV, this tune focuses on "extreme" type sports... Would make a great background sound for such type events...(Recorded August '02)

Survivor (3.4mb)

The result of a boring night hanging out with a friend... He had the drum beat in his head, I had the guitars in mine... We put it on tape, and built the rest of the tune around it... Fun stuff... (Recorded September '03)

DTune 01 (3.2mb)

Well its been a long time coming, but I finally got some new material posted... This tune has a heavy groove with a hint of southern rock... Its meant as "extreme" type sports music... Enjoy... (Recorded August '04)

-------------Volume 04-------------

"2005-2008"

The Cheesepuff Boogie (2.3mb)

My interpretation of a cliché, sellout, cheesy boogie tune... I honestly think that every single boogie song in the world has these same guitar licks... Man, it was fun to record though... and tough... (Recorded December '04)

Hot Sauce (3.4mb)

This tune was based on a weird drum beat that's been in my head forever...It didn't turn out exactly like I thought it would, but still worth a listen... (Recorded February '05)

Theme 03 (2.5mb)

This song was the result of me  "noodling" with my new recorder... I put down a simple acoustic guitar to play with the effects, and next thing I know, I had a finished song... I love it when it happens like that... And its one of my new favs...  (Recorded October '05)

Sunday Drive (2.1mb)

Everyone wanted it, so here it is... A fast beat hardcore rock track...This would be perfect for a chase scene in film/tv... Also, this was an experiment with my new Roland guitar sounds... I must say, they really have the grunge sound down... Hope you enjoy... (Recorded October '05)

The Format (3.3mb)

After a much needed break, I finally have posted new material... This tune was the result of me doing a complete reformat of my gaming pc... I was just sitting there waiting for the files to load so I picked up a guitar and started killing time... This was the result... Hope you enjoy... (Recorded July '06)

Jammin (3.0mb)

Just as the name says, a jam session... The main riff in this song is one that honestly I've been playing since I was probably 14... I finally broke down and added other tracks to it and this was the end result... Pretty fun song if I do say so myself... (Recorded February '07)

Evolution (2.4mb)

A new beginning... I have always been a fan of heavy rock music with a keyboard melody... This is my attempt at it, and I've got to say I really like what I am hearing... Keep check for more of this type material in the future... (Recorded September '07)

Game Over (2.6mb)

This tune was the result of me twanging on guitar because I was bored with no online game to play at the time... hence the name... It has the typical heavy riff with neat little accents spread about... Hey, what can I say, I like it... (Recorded January '08)

Jookin (2.5mb)

Just as the name says... A "jookin" song... Reminds me of some paw paw bar music... Honestly this song came together quick as it was a done deal in 5 hours... Very fun to play and record... Also a new twist on my basic drum sounds...  (Recorded February  '08)

Still Jookin (1.8mb)

Well I finally reached the end of Volume 04... Its been a while for sure... This song was another attempt at the ole  "jook" music, but this time with a little more modern edge... Hope you enjoy... (Recorded June  '08)

-------------Volume 05-------------

"2009-Current"

Killer Bs (2.2mb)

Well after hearing this you can probably tell I've been on a Ventures kick for the last few months... This has a similar feel as the "bumblebee music" from that era, and is recorded in the key of  B... Get it? Man this was fun to record...(Recorded April "09)

DaBlues (2.7mb)

Lots of folks have asked me why I don't have any "blues" material on my site... Actually it is quite odd as my guitar playing is defiantly blues oriented... Hmmm... That's for another debate though... Anyway here is my version of an old school  blues song... Enjoy... (Recorded April "09)

The Last Ride (2.6mb)

This is another attempt at the "highway" type of music I love so much... I really like the finished product... Also, special thanks to Buddyro Music for the help with the chord structure... Its kinda different, but really fits the song to me... Thanks and hope you enjoy...  (Recorded April "09)
