We have been testing out new gear for our internet customers over the last couple weeks.  It seems to be working really well. We have installed 2 new access points on our main tower pointing northeast and south. The plan is to continue to test this gear over the next week to make sure it does not conflict with our existing gear.

After testing we will start to migrate customers over to the new system. This is part of a 2 step process. The first being able to get the customers the availability of faster speeds. The second is actually getting more bandwidth in our area. I have been working on that as well.

The end result will be faster speed for everyone and less slowdowns during peak hours. And at a fraction of the cost of the gear we currently use.

Sounds too good to be true? I agree… but keep your fingers crossed, so far it’s looking good.
